Summer Camp Opportunities for All Girls

Does your daughter enjoy new experiences and making new friends? Do you know a girl who is interested in participating in camp activities like hiking, horseback riding or canoeing? If so, Girl Scout camp is a perfect way to get girls involved and active this summer. Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri (GSEM) offers overnight camping opportunities for girls between the ages of 5 and 17. All girls are welcome at GSEM summer camp programs; just pay the $12 membership fee with the summer program application.

Overnight camp continues to be a way for girls to have the opportunity to thrive in an environment where they can learn new skills, make lasting memories and gain independence, all while having fun and spending time making new friends. Girls who attend camp say camping teaches them how to be their best and treat others with respect. They also learn valuable decision-making and team building skills.

Most camp sessions are held at the Camp Tuckaho or Camp Cedarledge lodges. A select few short session camps will take place in Kirksville and St. Louis University. Camp Tuckaho is approximately 1.5 hours from downtown St. Louis and covers 521 acres. Camp Cedarledge is approximately 45 minutes from downtown St. Louis and encompasses nearly 700 acres.

Overnight camp is offered in the form of 3-day/2night, one-week and two-week sessions. Financial assistance is available. Please visit www.girlscoutsem.org or contact gscamps@girlscoutsem.org for more information.
