2nd Annual Community Holiday Food Drive Begins Today
Webster Groves, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury and Glendale are once again gathering non-perishable food items and toiletries for local charitable organizations.
Webster Groves, Rock Hill, Shrewsbury and Glendale are teaming up for the 2nd Annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit area charities.
The cities are requesting donations of non-perishable foods and toiletry items. The drive runs through Dec. 16. Drop-off points include:
- the Webster Groves Fire Department, 6 S. Elm Ave.
- Rock Hill City Hall, 320 W. Thornton Ave.
- Shrewsbury City Hall, 5200 Shrewsbury Ave.
- Glendale City Hall, 424 N. Sappington Rd.
Specifically, organizers are requesting: baby formula, canned pasta, chili and soup, canned or bottled tomato sauce, canned fish or chicken, dry pasta, rice and beans, canned fruit and vegetables, crackers, peanut butter and jelly, boxed cereal and juice boxes.
Toiletry items needed include: disposable diapers in sizes 3, 4 and 5, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant and toilet paper.
The items will be donated to Circle of Concern, Mary Queen of Peace-St. Vincent de Paul Society, Webster-Rock Hill Ministries, Nurses for Newborns Foundation and Emmanuel Episcopal Church Food Center.
