Will the new westbound Interstate 70 bridge into St. Charles County have any facilities for pedestrians/bicycles?

How does a subdivision go about getting its streets repaved, not patched over and over? I've written my St. Louis County Councilmen and gotten nowhere. My subdivision is in Affton and includes Is encircled by Radio and Hale, which all residents must travel to get to their homes. The smaller streets within the subdividision also need repaving but that's probably WAY too much to ask. What is the process for repaving subdivision roads that have been patched to death to the point that they are more like washboards than streets.

I work for a county municipality and you need to talk to the Director of Public Works to get help with repaving. When you ask the councilmen they just tell the Director to do it and council has no idea what the budget is or whether or not Public Works has the time to do it so cut the middleman and call him/her. If you live in the City of Afton your city is unincoporated so anything you need goes through St. Louis County. The St. Louis County Public Works Directors phone number is 314-615-7081 and her name is Sheryl Hodges. Hope this helps.

No problem your welcome.....let me know how it goes. If you need any other resources. I don't work for St. Louis County I work for another municipality but they are all the same. But yeah Public Works is the only place your answer can get resolved.

Thanks for the question about bicycle accommodations. How about the same thing going across the 141 bridge over the Meramec just north of 141? You may recall that was one of the highest items listed on the MoDOT high priority list for bike/ped projects developed in fall 2010. There are no other options for getting across the river in southwest St. Louis County other than the Highway 30 bridge, and this would be a huge help to bicyclists and pedestrians and in particular, those who'd love to get out of their cars and on bikes for their work/school commute.

I assume you are referring to 141 in Valley Park just north of I-44. That is the only spot where 141 crosses the Meramec River. We do have future plans to rebuild the 141 and I-44 interchange so it can be considered with those designs.
