Construction Update: Webster Groves Public Library
Work on the renovation and expansion project at 301 E. Lockwood Ave. is well underway.
Construction is well underway at the Webster Groves Public Library.
In October, construction came to a halt when the contractor working on the renovation and expansion project quit over a contract dispute. Work resumed in March when Demien Construction signed a contract to complete the work at the building at 301 E. Lockwood Ave.
According to the library's website, the new contractor has been making good progress on the project, and electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall and glass contractors have all been on site.
The project is expected to be completed by late August. The library, which is temporarily housed at 3232 S. Brentwood Blvd., will move back to the Lockwood building within four to six weeks after the project is completed.
