DWI Calls Keep Warson Woods Police Busy

Police report the arrest of one man with a previous DWI who lied about his identity.

The following information was supplied by the Warson Woods Police Department. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

Jan. 18:

Police arrested a 23 year old Rock Hill man at the Warson Woods Police Department at 06:15 a.m. and charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, failure to signal before turning, and making a false statement to a police officer. Authorites said the man was a prior offender of DWI and had originally been arrested for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 23, 2012, but gave his brother’s identifying information at the time of arrest. Fingerprints taken during the original booking later verified the man's correct identity. He was released after posting an $800 bond.

Jan. 19:

Police were called to a business in the 9900 block of Manchester Road at 3:54 p.m. after the store manager called to report an intoxicated subject. The manager said store staff said they could not sell him more alcohol. The man left the store without further incident after he told police he lived in Kirkwood and would walk home.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Warson Woods Police Department at 314-965-1131.

Anonymous tips can be made to the St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers at 866-317-TIPS (8477).
