Help The Book House Qualify to Win a $250,000 Small Business Grant
The Rock Hill bookstore is just shy of 300 votes in the Mission: Small Business program, which will award up to 12 individual $250,000 grants to small businesses in the nation.
The Book House in Rock Hill needs your help, and all it takes is one vote.
The bookstore has applied for a small business grant through the Mission: Small Business program, sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial. The program will award up to 12 individual $250,000 grants to small businesses in the nation.
One of the requirements to be considered for the grant is to get at least 250 consumer votes on the program's website. The Book House is just shy of 300 votes, but owner Michelle Barron is hoping for more.
"It would be a dream come true if we won the grant," Barron said. "It would allow us to buy our building and make several renovations, including an outdoor sitting room and coffee shop."
The voting period ends on June 30, so be sure to cast your vote today on the Mission: Small Business website! After the voting period ends, a panel of judges will review the applications and determine the recipients.
The goal of the Mission: Small Business program is to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. For more information on the program, visit its website.
