Kids Raise $600 at Lemonade/Cupcake Stand at Robust in Webster
Six-year-old Molly Browne, whose parents own Robust Wine Bar, came up with the idea for the stand to raise money for Pedal the Cause, which benefits cancer research in St. Louis.
Molly, whose parents own Robust, came up with the idea for the stand all on her own. All proceeds from the event will benefit Pedal the Cause, which is a St. Louis-area cycling event which raises money for cancer research, grants and clinical translational care.
In the last three years, Molly, of University City, has had three family members diagnosed with cancer. Her mom, Arlene, has been heavily involved with Pedal the Cause since it was founded in 2009.
"(A total of) $600 raised for Pedal The Cause," Arlene tweeted Wednesday. "PROUD is all I can say... oh and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!"
