Jan. 17:
Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Bennett Avenue after a man reportedly entered a church demanding financial assistance. The secretary offered the man several ministerial phone numbers to call for assistance, but he became angry and the woman was uncomfortable. She reportedly told the man she was going to another office to see if they had any emergency funds, however closed and locked the door and then told the man she was calling police. He left the building, but police said they were not called until two hours after the incident so the man was not located.
