Police: Officers Find Webster Groves Man Loading Stolen Compressor Onto Truck
The man was parked outside a Bridgeton hotel that is closed for renovation.
Bridgeton police officers found a Webster Groves man loading an air compressor onto his truck Jan. 22 outside a hotel on Lindbergh Boulevard that was closed for renovation.
Jacob A. Dawson, 29, of the 100 block of St. John Avenue in Webster Groves, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.
Bridgeton Police said the man was loading the air compressor, valued at about $2,500, onto his truck at about 1:45 p.m. Jan. 22 outside the building at 4545 Lindbergh Blvd. The owner told police he removed the air compressor from the closed hotel building.
Dawson was released from custody Thursday. Bond was set at $20,000, cash only.
