Prowler at Rock Hill Home Turns Out to Be Owl, Police Say

The following information was supplied by the Rock Hill Police Department for the week ending Sept. 19. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

 

Thursday, Sept 13

  • Police were called for a dog which had become entangled in its leash in the 1000 block of N. Rock Hill Rd. The disgruntled pooch was aided by police.
  • Two neighbors were having a dispute over wiring between homes in the 800 block of Blossom. Police quelled the disturbance between the two.

Saturday, Sept. 15

A mirror was broken on a vehicle in the 900 block of Blossom. 

Sunday, Sept. 16

  • A suspicious vehicle call in the 9800 block of Manchester resulted in the arrest of one of the occupants of the vehicle. The subject was wanted by another venue.
  • Police were called for a verbal disturbance between neighbors in the 1000 block of N. Rock Hill Rd.

Monday, Sept. 17

  • Police were called for a residence check in the 1200 block of Santa Fe. The residence was checked and found to be secure.
  • A resident in the 9300 block of Sutton called police to report a prowler. The prowler turned out to be an owl pecking at the homeowner's window.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

A person reported that he/she lost a wallet in front of a retail store in the 9600 block of Manchester.
