The Shrewsbury Police Department helped a family search for a Rock Hill woman who went missing for hours after receiving medical treatment in Shrewsbury.

The 55-year-old woman was reported missing by family members around 11:25 a.m. on Aug. 25 after leaving a business in Kenrick Plaza in the 7400 block of Watson Road. Police searched the area and checked with Metro buses and cab companies, but could not locate her.

The woman returned home at 12:30 a.m. on August 26. She was confused after a change to her medication, police said. The woman had been riding a Metro bus, but she stayed in a restaurant and finally took a cab to return home.
