Theft Tops Recent Webster Groves Crimes
Webster Groves police are investigating recent thefts, including jewelry stolen from a home and a computer stolen from an unlocked car.
The following information was supplied by the Webster Groves Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.
Feb. 17:
Police are investigating after a resident in the 100 block of West Glendale reported his former roommate took a laptop computer when he moved out.
Dec. 2012 - Feb. 18:
A home owner in the 300 block of Tuxedo Boulevard discovered cash and jewelry went missing from the residence, but is unsure of the exact date it disappeared. Police have a person of interest.
Feb. 14:
An Affton resident reported losing their credit card at The Hibachi Grill on Watson Road. The he card was used several times by someone other than its owner before it could be canceled.
Feb. 18:
At 7:10 a.m., the Walgreens at 8571 Watson Road reported a male stole three Sony compact iPod portable dock stations from the store. Police are investigating and do have a description of the suspect's car.
Feb. 22 - Feb. 23:
Sometime between the evening of Feb. 22 and the morning of Feb. 23, a laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked car near Hart and Sanquinet avenues.
Feb. 23:
A yard ornament was stolen overnight from a home in the 700 block of Newport Avenue.
