Two Home Burglaries Reported in Webster Groves Last Week

The following information was supplied by the Webster Groves Police Department for the week ending Sept. 29. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

 

Sunday, Sept. 23

A burglary was reported in the 400 block of Southside in which three televisions, a laptop computer and a Blue Ray system were taken. The incident occurred between 1:30 pm on Sept. 22 and 11:30 am on Sept. 23. The suspect entered the home through a rear sliding glass door.  

Thursday, Sept. 27

At 8:58 am a resident in the 500 block of Holland reported that someone stole her driver's license and used it as identification during an investigative stop by the Brentwood Police. The incident is under investigation.

Saturday, Sept. 29

  • Police discovered a controlled substance during a traffic stop in the area of West Jackson and South Elm at 1:30 am. The driver was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Sometime between Sept. 27 and Sept. 29, a lock was damaged on a vacant house in the 100 block of Jersey. No entry was made into the home.
  • A burglary was reported at a home in the 600 block of Marshall in which a television, two laptop computers and other items were taken. Entry was made into the home by forcing a rear basement door. The incident occurred between 6 and 9:55 p.m.
