Webster Groves Announces Winning Parade Entrants

A total of 21 groups received awards for floats and performances in this year's Community Days parade.

Webster Groves has announced the winning entrants in this year's Community Days parade.

The winners were recognized and given awards for their floats and performances in the parade at a recent city council meeting. A total of 21 parade awards were handed out.

There were around 80 entrants in the parade, said Steve Clark, chairman of the parade committee. Three judges determined the winning entrants from a review stand at the parade.

"Some of the performing groups don't perform during the entire parade, but they typically ham it up when they get in front of the judges," said Clark, who is also fitness supervisor at the Webster Groves Recreation Center.

There were two winners in nine categories. Best refers to first place and outstanding refers to second place. Additionally, there were three special judges awards given out to entrants who embraced the spirit of the holiday and went above and beyond in pulling their unit together.
