Webster Groves Boys Varsity Basketball 'Harlem Shakes' It Up
The team posted a video on YouTube last week. Have you seen it or any other local renditions of the "Harlem Shake"?
The Webster Groves High School Varsity Boys Basketball team uploaded their version of the "Harlem Shake" on YouTube last week.
What is the "Harlem Shake," you ask?
Wikipedia describes the latest Internet video fad as as a 30-second video that starts with one person dancing to the "Harlem Shake" song by Baauer for about 15 seconds. Then, a larger group joins in, dancing crazily and spicing it up with props or costumes.
Rishon Loper (@TheRealBigLope on Twitter) has already gotten 10 retweets and 13 favorites for the video as of Thursday afternoon, making it a "Top Tweet" on the social media platform in the Webster Groves area. Loper is a junior on the WGHS football team.
The video had 1,597 views by Sunday evening.
The basketball team is sitting at a 20-6 record with one game remaining in the regular season. The Statesmen take on Kirkwood at Vianney on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
