Webster Groves Cancels Fireworks Displays Planned for Community Days
Like many other cities, Webster has canceled its fireworks displays planned for July 3 and 4 due to the extreme weather conditions. All other Community Days events will go on as planned.
After careful consideration, and in consultation with Webster Groves city officials and the Webster Groves fire chief, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the city homeowners and businesses to cancel the fireworks displays scheduled for Community Days on July 3 and July 4.
Only the fireworks displays have been canceled. All other community days events will go on as scheduled.
Public safety is of utmost importance to the City of Webster Groves. With the ongoing high temperatures and dry conditions, the risk outweighs all other considerations.
The city is investigating options for alternative dates. Further information on those decisions will be forthcoming.

A very good decision and well to make it early so plans can be amended. I suggest Labor Day weekend, but pending the end of the dry weather. We are in extraordinary times.
