Webster Woman Faces Third DWI Charge in Wildwood

The Webster Groves woman has two previous DWI convictions, according to St. Louis County Police.

A woman faces felony charges after St. Louis County prosecutors said she was driving drunk near the Highway 109 and Shepard Road intersection in Wildwood.

Christine Baichly, 29, of the 8200 block of Watson Road in Webster Groves, was charged Jan. 7 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. Baichly has two previous DWI convictions, once on June 17, 2008 in Kirkwood and another on Nov. 18, 2008 in Arkansas.

St. Louis County Police said Baichly was stopped for a traffic violation at 9:48 p.m. Feb. 6, 2012 at the Highway 109 (Eatherton Road) and Shepard Road intersection. The officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol on her breath, and the defendant performed poorly on sobriety tests.

A warrant was issued for Baichly’s arrest Jan. 7. Bail was set at $10,000.
