As part of pre-Turkey Day Game festivities, the St. Louis Wing Company in Rock Hill hosted a chicken wing eating competition between stars from the Kirkwood Pioneers and Webster Groves Statesmen football teams.

Kirkwood's BJ Buckner and Mike McHugh squared off against Webster's Rayshawn Simmons and Tony Smith. The teams were charged with the task of eating 60 wings per pair.

While all the athletes put up an admirable effort, Simmons and Smith won the competition by seven wings, according to Bobby Tessler, owner of St. Louis Wing Company.
