Ranting and Raving While Intoxicated A 42-year-old Kirkwood man was arrested and charged in municipal court with disorderly conduct  on Sept. 7 in the 10000 block of Manchester Road. Employees of a nearby business called Warson Woods police when the man was observed beating on his vehicle and screaming profanities and racial epithets in the parking lot. Man Leaves Behind Hatful of DNA at Burglary Scene A hat left at a burglary scene in 2011 led St. Louis County Police to a suspect in a home break-in. The hat contained DNA evidence that led police to a suspect in the burglary. Police said the homeowner arrived at home to find two broken windows; discovered a television, game system and lawn care items missing from the home; and a hat that did not belong to anyone living in the home. He was turned in to police by his father, police said A son asked his mother for some money Aug. 23 in the parking lot of Neighbors Credit Union in Fenton after she had cashed her paycheck. He became upset when she refused to give him any money so he stole the money from her hand and ran off. What the Well-Dressed Bad Guy Wears St. Peters police officers were asked to keep an eye on car washes on patrol routes after a string of burglaries at the businesses when a man showed up at a car wash July 18 wearing a ski mask and carrying a crowbar. Wearing a ski mask in the middle of a heat wave didn't add up. A police officer on a stakeout across the street from the car wash thought so, too. Possible Serial Hugger Nabbed Police in Warson Woods arrested a 44-year-old St. Louis County man June 20 at the Des Peres Police Department after receiving several reports that the man was hugging female shoppers at a business on Manchester Road over the past several months. One victim reported being kissed on the lips by the man. KSDK-TV reported the Des Peres Police Department also received complaints about the man from women in Des Peres, St. Peters, High Ridge, near Ballwin and in Fairview Heights, IL. Dog May Have Foiled Home Burglary A homeowner's dog may have scared away a potential burglar who broke into a home Apr. 17 on My Road, High Ridge. The deputy who responded to the burglary call reported that he found the front screen door torn but still secure and the rear door frame was broken near the doorknob. There were pry marks on the door frame and a dead bolt lock had not been secured. Nothing was missing from the home which led to speculation that the homeowner's dog scared the burglar away. Fowl Play in Ballwin as Turkey Breaks and Enters When a Ballwin resident arrived home from work March 29, he noticed a broken window and heard commotion in the house, located on Wetherburn Drive. Bare Butt Prankster Makes Threat An 18-year-old student in St. Charles reportedly removed his pants and underwear and placed his naked behind on the head of another student on Nov. 8, according to the police log. "Once school staff was involved, the suspect threatened to physically harm the victim," the police log said. Collaring the Cleaning Lady On Sept. 26, at 6:37 p.m., officers in Kirkwood responded to the area of Kirkshire and Regent Terrace for a report of solicitors. Officers located a woman from California who was selling cleaning products. She was arrested for soliciting without a license.
