The Webster Groves/Shrewsbury/Rock Hill Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the inaugural "Santas on the Loose" 5k run in Webster Groves.

 The "Santas on the Loose" 5k run will be a fun day that brings new people to Webster Groves to run in costume, and enjoy the area afterwards for holiday shopping and dining. The race will further enhance the reputation of Webster Groves as a place of creative and uplifting events, such as the Old Webster Jazz Festival, Art on the Town, Art and Air and the Gazebo Series. Businesses in the area will be having promotions for the “Santas” that shop or dine afterwards. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the "Adopt a Family" program of the Webster-Rock Hill Ministries.

 Registered runners will receive a red Santa hat, white beard and red shirt. The streets will be filled with Santas running the 5k course!

 Race Route:  Starting at approximately 34 South Old Orchard, the runners go right onto Big Bend, then left onto North Old Orchard.  They take the first left onto Sunnyside Ave, take the 1st right onto Summit Avenue and then take the 2nd left onto Newport. From Newport they go left on Glen, and take Glen to Oakwood, then to Orchard, where they cross Lockwood and continue on Sylvester, then go right onto E. Swon Avenue until Jefferson, where they take a right.  The runners then take a right on W. Cedar, and end up at the finish line before Gray Ave. The route includes to Webster Groves shopping areas, Old Orchard and Old Webster and will pass by many century old homes in the community. The end of the race will include an awards ceremony and snacks and hot chocolate at PNC Bank,  135 W. Lockwood.
