Calling all families! What do socks have to do with gardening? You’ll find out if you bring a pair of new socks to donate to the Children’s Garden at Missouri Botanical Garden* on Saturday, August 11th. The first 125 children to donate a pair of socks for families in need across the U.S. will receive a free “Wish & Grow” kit from Disney’s “The Odd Life of Timothy Green.”  From 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, visitors can touch, smell and even taste what’s growing in our Edible Garden! Throughout the day, roaming educators will quiz families on their nature knowledge, with participants winning passes to an advance screening of the new Disney movie while supplies last. Disney’s “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” opens in theatres nationwide August 15th from Academy Award®-nominated director Peter Hedges, who brings enchantment to the screen in this inspiring, magical story.

*Garden admission and Children’s Garden admission
required.
