The Rock Hill police officer who fatally shot a man Wednesday at the Conoco Gas Station is on paid administrative leave.
City Manager George Liyeos said the officer was experienced, and that in cases like this, it is standard procedure to place an officer on paid administrative leave. He said the St. Louis County Police Department is still handling the investigation.

On Wednesday afternoon Kevin Worley, the man allegedly suspected in Friday's Rock Hill home invasion, was fatally shot in the chest at the gas station at 9601 Manchester Rd.
On Friday, a man allegedly armed with a silver handgun, walked into a home in the 1500 block of Blue Bell Lane. He entered through an unlocked door, stayed for about 10 minutes demanding the woman's vehicle and then drove away in her Honda CRV. She was not hurt in the incident.
