Top-Seeded Statesmen Move on District Championship Game

The Webster Groves boys basketball team will face CBC Friday at SLUH.

The Webster Groves boys basketball team defeated SLUH 72-63 Wednesday in the Class 5 District 2 district semifinals, earning them a spot in the final championship game.

The top-seeded Statesmen will take on No. 2 seed CBC Friday at 7 p.m. at SLUH. Tickets for the game are available at the Activities Office for $4 each.

Demetrius Johnson scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds in Wednesday's game, according to stlhighschoolsports.com. Rayshawn Simmons got 17 points in the semifinal while Michael Gulve scored 12 and Brennan Coltrane had 10.
