Epworth Children & Family Services was established in 1864 to take care of children who were orphaned as a result of the Civil War. Since then, it has continued its mission of taking care of orphaned children and helping them get prepared for everyday life.
The children at the facility range in age from eight to 18 and live in bungalows supervised by a house mother and father who attempt to give them guidance and social direction.
