The baseball team is en route to the championship for the second year in a row.
The Webster University baseball team is heading back to Appleton, Wis., to hopefully finish what they started last year. After losing out to Marietta College in the NCAA Division 3 World Series last year, the Webster Gorloks are poised to face Kean University Friday. Webster University is one of eight teams in the battle for the championship scheduled for May 28. The Gorloks defeated Concordia University-Chicago 7-3 May 18 to nab the Augustana/Central Regional Championship title. Webster is ranked 12th in the division with a 32-9 record on the season. This means planning ahead -- say, Friday. But it’s worth it, says Rick Browne, host of Barbeque America on PBS, because you can pass up that well-marbled ribeye steak and buy a less tender and less expensive choice to grill like a flank steak or chuck steak.
