Fabric Nosherie: Last Day is Saturday

The fabric and sewing store is closing up shop on Gore Avenue after about a year and a half in business.

Fabric Nosherie, Webster Groves fabric and sewing store at 21 North Gore, is closing up shop April 27. After being in business about a year and a half, Owner Shannon Robinson said she's most looking forward to getting to play with her kids. Robinson set up a "store adoption" process in January so that she could take more time for her family, but said no viable offers worked out. "I'll be trying to find my new normal," Robinson told Patch.  Robinson said she still has some projects she'll be working on, including collaborations with Baby Lock and Interweave. She said she'll still be appearing as "Fabric Nosherie," but is excited about being able to get back to making her kids her first priority. Fabric Nosherie will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m…

Fabric Nosherie Will Close at End of April

The store had been up for auction since January, but store owner Shannon Robinson said there weren't any "qualified offers."

The Webster Groves local business Fabric Nosherie at 21 North Gore will be closing its doors April 27 after the store had been on the auction block since January. Store owner Shannon Robinson had posted on Fabric Nosherie's Facebook page that she wanted to focus more on her family. After months of seeking a new owner, Robinson shared on the page that no "qualified offers" were received. "I thought about what I would do if I didn't receive any offers and the answer was still the same - I am still dedicated to my kids and family...regardless of the sale or not," Robinson's Facebook post said. Fabric Nosherie will only be open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everything in the store is 25 percent off, and furniture and other store…

Fabric Nosherie Will Be Up for Silent Auction

The Webster Groves fabric store owner said she wants to focus on her family, and is putting her store up for "adoption."

Fabric Nosherie in Webster Groves is for sale and will be up for a silent auction March 18-25.  Store owner Shannon Robinson posted this week on the fabric store's Facebook page that she was planning to sell the store at 21 North Gore. "This is a happy thing for me and for the shop," Robinson posted. "My family needs me and the shop needs someone who has more time. Fabric Nosherie was built with sweat and tears and I'm so proud to call it mine but I can't help it grow to its potential while I'm working on growing my family." The store will be sold with all its inventory with intentions to keep classes and other traditions the same, according to its website. The silent auction will be conducted through Scheliffarth Law. Bidding will be done…

Crafters Can Get Cozy at New Webster Groves Fabric Store

Fabric Nosherie offers a warm and friendly environment for crafting and sewing and has difficult-to-find modern cotton prints.

Shannon Robinson opened her first business venture called Fabric Nosherie two months ago in Old Webster. She named it to build upon the idea that it is a café of fabric. She’s made the cozy fabric store into an inviting space where customers can settle in by the fire and browse through her collection of sewing books or rent a machine for a few hours to whip up a quick craft.  The store is in Old Webster along N. Gore Avenue, a street that seems dedicated to the crafter at heart. Her neighboring shops offer things like custom embroidery or stamping supplies. “I seriously got lucky. I just liked the space,” Robinson said of her store, which is located in the old Heritage Building.  The Fabric Nosherie offers cotton fabrics in bright modern …
