Contract Dispute Brings Halt to Library Construction
Frederich Construction has quit working on the expansion project, library attorney says.
During a recent Webster Groves City Council work session, Councilwoman Debi Salberg announced that the contractor working on the Webster Groves Public Library expansion project has quit the job. Salberg, who serves as the council liason for the library, declined to comment further on the issue and referred Patch to Library Director Tom Cooper for details. Cooper was unable to be reached for comment. However, Craig Smith, the attorney who represents the public library, confirmed that work has been temporary halted. He said the Frederich Construction has quit working on the project due to a disagreement over the contract. Smith said he could provide no other details.
