Webster Groves Boys Heading to Prestigious East Coast Hoops Event
The Webster Groves boys basketball team traveled to Massachusetts last weekend to play in the Spalding Hoophall Classic and despite a loss the experience was tremendous, according to Webster coach, Jay Blossom.
One of the top high school basketball events in the nation featured a local participant this weekend as the Webster Groves boys basketball team travelled to Springfield, MA, for the Spalding Hoophall Classic. The Statesmen dominated on Friday night Seckman as they extended their conference winning streak to 67 games with an 87-24 victory. On Saturday, the team travelled to Springfield. “This is going to be really exciting for our team. This will be the first time some of our kids have even flown on an airplane, and certainly the first time they’ve experienced such an event,” Webster coach Jay Blossom said prior to his team's departure.
