Webster Boys Basketball Team Cliches Suburban South Title
Friday's victory over Parkway Central makes for 80 straight conference game wins for the Statesmen varsity team.
The Webster Groves Boys Basketball Team has done it again. On Friday, the Statesmen marked their 80th straight conference victory after beating Parkway Central. Near the end of the third quarter of the game, it looked as if the conference winning streak was coming to an end. But the team rallied for a victory and beat Parkway Central by seven points. "Wow, what a game! @wgbasketball comes back from 16 points down in the 3rd to defeat Parkway Central by a score 70-63," the Webster Groves Athletic Department (@statesmensports) tweeted shortly after the win.
