Webster University Students Create World’s Longest Sundae

About 80 Webster University students broke the world record for creating the longest ice cream sundae last week. The event served as the kickoff to Webster University’s Spring Fest Week. The 200.3-foot dessert used 456 pounds of vanilla ice cream, eight pounds of cherries and 14 pounds of rainbow sprinkles, according to an article the River Front Times. The Journal, which is the university's student newspaper, reported that Gerry Welch, Webster Groves mayor, Hannah Ingram, executive assistant director at Opera Theatre St. Louis, and a surveyor from Minnick Surveying acted as witnesses at the event.
